StaufferCAP Major Jacob Stauffer - CISSP, National Cadet Cyber Programs Coordinator

Founder of Civil Air Patrol's Cyber Defense Training Academy; Mr. Stauffer is currently the Vice President of Operations for Coherent Cyber, LLC. Previously he served as a federal civil servant for the 33d Network Warfare Squadron as the Director of the Operation Support Flight and Chief, Forensic and Malware Analysis Section. Mr. Stauffer specializes in forensic / malware analysis, earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa under the CyberCorps program www.sfs.opm.gov and holds multiple certifications to include: CISSP, GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst, DoD Digital Forensic Examiner, and DoD Digital Media Collector. He successfully ran multiple U.S Air Force high school and college level internship programs with the 67th Cyber Wing and was awarded the wing's Civilian of the Year and the AFA Loos Award for Civilian of the Year for 2011. He's a four year CyberPatriot veteran with a team that spans across multiple squadrons within San Antonio. Major Stauffer also serves on CAP's National Staff as the Cadet Programs Cyber Coordinator, Director of the Cyber National Cadet Special Activies, and Squadron Commander for SWR-TX-007 Lackland Cadet Squadron.

nopic Lieutenant Colonel William Sydow, National Cadet Cyber Programs Specialist

Retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with almost 15 years of active duty service over a 23 year career; In his last military assignment at US Northern Command, Mr Sydow stood up the five person 24x7 Cyber Domain for the NORAD-US Northcom Command Center. Mr Sydow is currently working as a Cyber Policy Specialist for Alutiiq in support of the National Guard Bureau Cyber Operations Division. He is leading the effort to implement the recently signed DoD Cyber Strategy throughout the National Guard. Mr Sydow founded the Colorado Springs Cadet Squadron Cyber Patriot team in 2009 and has been an active mentor for CAP units and Cyber Patriot participants since Cyber Patriot II. In addition to serving on the Virginia Wing CAP staff as a Cyber Programs officer, Mr Sydow is a member of the National Cyber Cadet Programs staff and the Chief of Staff for the Cyber Defense Training Academy.

 McLartyCAP Major Nicholas McLarty - CISSP, National Cadet Cyber Programs Specialist

Major Nicholas R. McLarty is the Director of Information Technology, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Deputy Inspector General, Civil Air Patrol Texas Wing, Nacogdoches,Texas, and Deputy Commander of the George H. W. Bush Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol Texas Wing, Bryan/College Station, Texas. As director of information technology, he is responsible for managing and directing information technology related activities and programs at the wing level. As deputy chief of staff, he assists the wing commander in exercising command over wing staff members, promoting the objectives and purposes of CAP within the wing, and facilitating administrative actions and communications among subordinate units. As deputy inspector general, he is responsible for implementing, managing, and directing the inspection and complaints programs at the direction of the wing commander. As a squadron deputy commander, he is responsible for assisting the commander in ensuring the Civil Air Patrol Corporation's objectives, policies, and operational directives are effectively executed within his squadron.
